'Tranquil Margarita' Coffeeberry is the most beautiful coffeeberry I've ever seen. (At first I didn't realize it was a coffeeberry!) Leaves are clean, shiny and rich looking. The whole plant looks like it belongs next to an English Tudor in London. Most people want a five or six ft. coffeeberry, this one should do nicely.
'Tranquil Margarita' Coffeeberry was selected from a stand in the Lompoc area. In the wild it was between the equally beautiful Ceanothus megacarpusX and Ribes malvaceum with Vaccinium ovatum in the shade of Tan Bark Oaks .
Coffeeberries are good pollinator plants, attracting small pollinators, and other small predators that love to do away with garden pests.
This coffeeberry has done well in clay, sand, regular water, some drought, full sun, full shade, deer don't, bees do. He's handsome, can hold his own in any conversation and is well liked by everyone. Oh, and plant a row of them and they make a decent hedge, you bet!
