Suncup is a perennial that lives next to the ocean. The same 1inch yellow flowers , Camissonia cheiranthifolia ssp. suffruticosa Grows on the coastal strand from Santa Barbara south to Baja. The foliage appears silvery. Synonym: Oenothera cheiranthifolia ssp. suffruticosa. Perennial, with yellow flowers, leaves gray green due to a dense pubescence, the form resembles a star with a central rosette of leaves and leafy stems radiating out and upwards from the center.
