Tachinid Flies
There are more than 1300 species of flies in the Tachinidae Family of flies. Many are just called Tachinid Flies.
Most are parasitoids of other insects. The most common hosts are caterpillars. The closeups look like some in a really bad B horror movie.
Cylindromyia is a Parasitic Fly that is commonly called a Tachinid fly, It preys on True bugs (Heteroptera).
