Indian Mallow is a soft, fuzzy leaved perennial that lives in the hot desert. How such a soft plant can live on rocky, dry slopes is befuddling. In the garden it can be equally astounding. Flowers seem to continually reappear for most of the spring making dazzling shows of orange, almost poppy flowers, on a soft gray sublunar plant. Got a hot dry wall that everything burns out on? One of those walls with the thermometer stuck at 150 degrees is a good candidate for this plant as long as it doesnt get too wet in winter, nor too dry in early summer. Give it a thunderstorm every once a while in summer(hose it down) and it will be a happy camper.
