Ericameria cuneata

Wedgeleaf Golden bush, Cliff Goldenbush or Cliff Heathgoldenrod is native in rocky crevices along the mountain edges of the southwestern deserts. Native from Baja to Nevada (along the east side of the Sierra Nevada mountains) and east into New Mexico. If you have a vista point or one of those pullouts where the quarter telescope is, plant this around the rocks that keep the city folks from driving off of the edge. The yellow flowers make a STATEMENT in late summer and early fall. Plant with Penstemon and Zauschneria to get about 3 months of flowering. Grows almost always in rocky outcrops throughout southwestern North America, and into Mexico. Weird if you think about it, how can the colonies be miles apart but still find a centimeter crack in a rock? Of course, these plants have been in this habitat for thousands of years, so I guess if you had thousands of years you could find your house also. Got a rock wall, ugly retaining wall, or green roof that needs a bright green wildlife plant. (Syn.
